Proverbs, sung.

The work

Sovereign Verse Music sets the book of Proverbs to alt-country. Thirty-one chapters, thirty-one songs. The book already knew how to talk: short lines, hard pictures, a warning that does not get polished into a slogan. These sessions try to sing that voice.

The album

The record is Proverbs — The Alt-Country Sessions. While the album is releasing, new chapters go up Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Call Her Sister, from Proverbs 7, is the chapter that is live. The other songs stay in chapter order and keep their own pages while they are still on the way.

Spotify and Apple Music are scheduled around November 27, 2026. Until then, Listen opens the DistroKid Hyperfollow for Call Her Sister.

The notes

Every chapter page is public. The study notes are not sampled, locked, or sold. A mailing list, if one is added, only says when a new chapter is up. It does not sit in front of a song or a note.

Chapters 1–9 already have a full note. Those drafts were prepared with AI assistance, and the page says so: human review is still pending. The notes are original Sovereign Verse writing, tied to the chapter and the song. This site does not host commentary books.

Chapters 10–31 get a note when the song is ready. Until then the page says the note is coming with the song, and it quotes one verse from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. The verses inside chapters 1–9 are from the American Standard Version, also in the public domain.

What is human

The lyrics are written by a person. On the release, the songwriter credit is Nehemiah Reese. Sovereign Verse Music is the artist name. The arrangements and the recorded audio are made with Suno, an AI music tool. That split is on every chapter and in the footer: Lyrics human · Arrangements Suno AI. The machine did not write the words. The words are not passed off as a live band in a room.
